Adopted at the end of the conference organized by Commissioner Hogan in September 2016, the Cork Declaration is a strong political document which has to be well used at the Commission.
The international association Rurality – Environment – Development calls for a European Rural Agenda, to be adopted rapidly at the highest level of European authorities, to give an innovative impulse for rural areas in the post-2020 EU programming and to respond to the orientations of the Declaration of Cork.
R.E.D. calls for a genuine European policy for rural areas in its proposal “Making Europe grow with its rural territories”, to mobilize all the sectors and potentials of rural areas in favor of the objectives and the success of the project of the U.E.
This Rural Agenda should provide the framework of it.
